Content Writing

Hire me to write your content – it’s quick and easy. Here’s how it works.

Discovery

We can do this on a video call or by email. It’s a quick exchange to make sure we’re a good fit. You can tell me more about your business and goals, and I can explain a bit about my process.

Brief

Let me know what you need! Include as much information as you can: style guides, examples of previous work, keyword research and, of course, details about what the content is for. Is this for a blog, your website, social media?

This information helps me understand the project, so I can provide an accurate quote and schedule of work. I may need to ask you a few questions at this point, too.

Contract and schedule

If you’re happy with the quote, I’ll send you a (short!) contract to sign, you can send me a contract or NDA if you need to, and you settle the deposit (usually 50% of the fee, depending on the volume and timeline of the project).

The work

I’ll get to work! I’ll deliver the first draft on schedule, at which point you’ll be invited to give feedback. If multiple people in your team need to give feedback, it’s efficient to do so all at the same time. Efficient, but not always possible, of course!

Once I have your comments, I’ll revise and create a second draft. If we’ve agreed on two rounds of feedback, you’ll get the draft back. If we have agreed to include only one* round of feedback, I’ll proof the document thoroughly and submit it to you for sign-off. A few small tweaks may be required at this stage, then it’s signed off and you settle the balance.

*For some bigger pieces of work, or more technical content, two rounds of feedback may be included in the project.

After completion

After the work has been delivered, I’ll ask you for feedback. What worked well, what do you love about the end result, and could I do anything differently next time?

If you’d like to work with me on some content – one-off, ongoing or producing batches of content every few weeks – get in touch using the form below.

I’d love to hear from you! Tell me a little bit about what you’d like some help with and I’ll get back to you soon.
